Another Regatta in the Books!
This video shows a lot of what the 2019 European Championship was like! Big breeze of 25-32 kts while we raced. We only competed in 3 out of the 6 races due to Nikki getting out of the hospital. We struggled a bit in the breeze and weren’t quite able to get our footing. We were, however thankful to have spent a month training in San Francisco and enjoyed plaining downwind- we had some really fast moments and clean maneuvers. It was crazy to see how many of the top both men and women boats flipped and broke equipment 🌊 Although this was not how we pictured the European Championship playing out, it’s up to us each event to come back stronger and more prepared than the time before. 💪Nikki is recovering now and will be working on getting back to full strength. We have a week of land work in the USA and will be back on the water in Marseille, France for the World Cup Final!
We are so grateful for our top sponsor U.S. Coast Guard Academy Alumni Association for supporting us and for sending good vibes while Nikki was in the hospital! Onwards and upwards!
