From their Facebook: StFYC member and Olympic hopeful Nikki Barnes and Lara Dallman-Weiss of Perfect Vision Sailing were just three days away from competing in the 470 World Championship—and final Olympic trial—when the Olympics were postponed. “Once we came down off the adrenaline spike, we met as a team and strategized a new set of mid- and short-term goals to secure us the biggest gains in our 470 sailing,” says Dallman-Weiss, “Now, we are in constant communication—not only with racing strategies and ways to optimize our boat, but in full support of each other.”

Working from home – Miami

Hello from Miami!

The photo above was from Palma, which now seems like a very long time ago! We’ve each been keeping busy in Miami. Nikki, as seen in the photo below, is working at Sector Miami on both the COVID response and towards her qualifications (which she recently passed)! Lara has been working on upgrades for Amber, the team’s 470 in Miami, and was recently interviewed on a podcast:

We have both been working hard on our strength and endurance so as soon as we are allowed, we are ready to continue ticking the miles!

Thank you for following and please stay safe!
